Vanina de Verneuil, J.D., serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She first joined Vir Biotechnology in 2020 as Vice President, Corporate Law, and in 2022, she took on the Senior Vice President, Corporate Law and Interim General Counsel role, and was then promoted to Senior Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary in 2023. Ms. de Verneuil has over two decades of experience representing publicly listed companies and their boards of directors, as well as biopharma investors. 

Prior to joining Vir Biotechnology in 2020, Ms. de Verneuil was a partner at DLA Piper, a leading international law firm with deep roots in the life sciences industry, where she served as outside counsel to publicly listed companies and biopharma investors. Prior to that, she was Global General Counsel at Reliance Communications (Enterprise)/Global Cloud Xchange, a publicly traded global data communications service provider. 

Ms. de Verneuil received a B.A. in psychology and French from Duke University, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
