Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Toby Medaris serves as Senior Vice President, Head of Human Resources at Vir Biotechnology. Since December 2024, he has been responsible for leading Human Resource Operations, Total Rewards, Learning and Organizational Development. He joined Vir Biotechnology in 2023 as Vice President of Total Rewards, overseeing various aspects of the HR function, working with the compensation committee of the Board of Directors and supporting shareholder engagement.

Prior to joining Vir Biotechnology, Medaris led Total Rewards at Figs, where he also managed payroll and the people analytics functions. Prior to that, Medaris designed and managed executive and broad-based compensation programs, benefits, and performance management systems across the Americas for TikTok. He also served for over five years as a compensation consultant, across a range of industries and clients.

Medaris earned an A.B. in economics from Harvard University and a Master of Science degree in management research from Oxford University, U.K.
