Maninder Hora, Ph.D.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF TECHNICAL OPERATIONS OFFICER

Maninder Hora, Ph.D., serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Operations Officer. He oversees technical operations, including process and product development, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and CMC strategy. Dr. Hora has more than 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with demonstrated leadership in process, analytical and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as manufacturing and quality functions.

Prior to joining Vir Biotechnology in September 2024 as Senior Vice President of Technical Operations, Dr. Hora served as Chief Technical Operations Officer at Amunix Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Sanofi in 2022) for five years. During his tenure, he established and led technical operations to enable clinical development of PRO-XTEN™ masked T-cell engagers. Prior to that, Dr. Hora served as the Chief Technical Operations Officer at Nektar Therapeutics, Vice President of Product Operations & Quality at Facet Biotech/PDL BioPharma (now a part of Abbvie) and Vice President of Process and Product Development at Chiron Corporation (acquired by Novartis). Earlier in his career he held positions of increasing responsibilities at Chiron, Pfizer and GSK. 

Dr. Hora received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bioengineering in Delhi, India, and held a Fulbright fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle.
